This is us!

We’re Christa and Del — partners in life, in work, and in the dream that became Alpnhaus.
I'm Christa. My mother's family comes from the Allgäu region of southern Germany, and my love of the Alps began there. I've always felt most at home in winter — crisp mountain air, snowy landscapes and cosy evenings by the fire.
Del grew up in Bristol and has Italian roots. He loves long summer days and sunshine, while I can't wait for winter to arrive. Despite our different favourite seasons, we've always shared a love of Alpine craftsmanship, timeless design and creating warm, welcoming spaces.

What began as a dream, years ago, became more than a year's worth of hard work, long days, countless cups of coffee, and an unwavering belief that we could create somewhere truly special.
Every part of Alpnhaus reflects years of planning, designing and building. From the handcrafted details to the carefully chosen natural materials, it has always been about creating a place with character, comfort and a sense of home.
Every beam, every board and every detail tells part of that story. We hope that when you stay here, you'll feel it too. You can see our build here

We live in the stone cottage on the Singdean land, so we're close by if you need us, but otherwise you won’t know we’re here. We'll make sure everything is ready for your arrival, quietly prepare your hot tub each evening, and let you enjoy your stay at your own pace.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay free of charge with prior arrangement.
